England Test veteran Ian Bell is looking to carry his recent T20 form into Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) where he has been drafted by last year’s finalist Dhaka Dynamites.
The 36-year-old scored 580 runs at a strike-rate of 139.08 and became the third-highest run scorer in the Vitality Blast this season. With 2111 runs under his belt, he is the all-time top scorer for Birmingham Bears, the Warwickshire-based T20 club.

“I’m delighted to have been drafted for the Bangladesh Premier League and I’m extremely excited to be representing the Dhaka Dynamites,” Bell was quoted as saying by Birmingham Live.
“I was really pleased with my form last season and to become the Birmingham Bears’ highest-ever run scorer is an achievement I’m incredibly proud of,” he said.
Ian Bell, who played 118 Tests and 161 ODIs, is now excited to share his international experience with the young cricketers.
“The Dynamites are a very successful team who have never failed to reach the play-offs so there will be plenty of expectation from the supporters.
“However, with my experience from the Birmingham Bears and Perth Scorchers, I believe I can contribute and help an exciting team that has a nice blend of experience and youth,” Bell said.
