Rajin Saleh finished as the top-scorer for his side on the first day of the Tier 2 clash between Sylhet Division and Dhaka Division in the National Cricket League. He made 67 runs in the first innings of his farewell first-class match, helping Sylhet post a total of 220 for six, on day-1.
Other than Rajin’s half-century, no substantial innings came from Sylhet’s camp as Dhaka regularly kept taking wickets from the beginning. While Sylhet's top three batters failed to score past 15 runs, Alok Kapali and Shahanur Rahman tried to stitch together partnerships with Rajin, but could score only 20-odd runs each.
Rajin was dismissed by Shahdat Hossain, who has taken two wickets in the innings so far. Shuvagoto Hom also bagged as many wickets while Mosharraf Hossain bagged one.

Jaker Ali finished the day being unbeaten on 40 runs and will resume the innings for Sylhet on the second day with Enamul Haque Jnr.
Dhaka Division are currently at the top of the Tier 2 points table with two wins and two draws to their name and will surely look to retain that position till the end of the ongoing sixth and final round of the tournament. Sylhet, on the other hand, are at the foot of the table with a single win and three draws. Both the sides have lost one match so far in the competition.
