Twin milestones for Mushfiqur Rahim

||Desk Report||
Mushfiqur Rahim became the first Bangladesh wicketkeeper to have entered the 200-dismissal club in ODIs during the second ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. The 31-year-old reached another milestone in the same match as he became the only third Bangladesh batsman to score 10,000 international runs across formats.
The former Bangladesh captain took three catches in the match against Zimbabwe, taking his tally to 201 dismissals, which has earned him the eleventh place among the wicketkeepers with most number of dismissals in the 50-over format. Mushfiqur has taken a total of 159 catches and made 52 stumpings in a 194-match-long ODI career.
Kumar Sangakkara is at the top of the list for most dismissals as wicketkeeper, with 482 dismissals to his name. Among the currently-active players, MS Dhoni is the only cricketer – at the fourth position – in the top 10, with 420 dismissals under his belt.
Mushfiqur became the second Bangladesh batsman to reach 10,000 international runs this year after Shakib Al Hasan. He currently stands third in the most run-getters’ list of the country, with Tamim Iqbal topping the chart.
The wicketkeeper-batsman played an unbeaten innings of 40 runs against Zimbabwe in the second ODI, completing 10,015 international runs and helping his team seal the three-match ODI series with a 7-wicket win.
