Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza is eyeing to continue in the ongoing home series despite having some niggles. The fast-bowler is continuing with a groin strain that he sustained during the Asia Cup but insisted that he is not willing to take a break though he is not hundred percent fit.
“I need a bit of time. I haven’t been able to train in the last three weeks. I only play one format so I couldn’t think of taking a break. I can take a break until the next ODI series after this one ends.

“I need a bit of treatment and some strength work. It is manageable now but I have played with better fitness in the past,” Mashrafe said.
Mashrafe said they are confident that Rubel Hossain will be fit in time who had a tonsil. With Rubel absent in the last match, the captain also did not complete the quota of Mustafizur Rahman.
“Winning is more important than bowling the full quota of overs,” said Mashrafe. “Mustafizur felt something in his elbow during the game so he said he doesn’t want to bowl. We will wait for the physio’s report today.”
“When we are winning, we also have to consider if we are putting too much pressure on certain players with so much cricket coming,” he added.
