Shadman stars as Dhaka Metro end day-2 on a high

Dhaka Metro appear to have an upper hand over their derby rivals, Dhaka Division, in their Tier 2 clash in the National Cricket League.
Shadman Islam’s succeeded in his endeavor to help Dhaka Metro gain a lead on the second day. After wrapping up Dhaka Division’s innings for 206 runs thanks to a seven-wicket haul from Arafat Sunny, Shadman’s lone efforts has been the highlight of Dhaka Metro’s batting innings. The opener finished day-2 remaining unbeaten on 186 runs while Dhaka Metro posted 312 runs for the loss of four wickets.
Mohammad Ashraful, the second highest-scorer from Dhaka Metro provided much support to the centurion with his 49-run innings after his side became 52/3. He stitched together a 133-run stand with Shadman to restore the innings.
Shahadat Hossain took two wickets for Dhaka Division while Salaudin Sakil and Shuvagoto Hom got a wicket each. However, their efforts were not enough to keep the opponents from registering a 106-run lead.

Shadman will resume the innings for Dhaka Metro on day-3 with Mehrab Hossain Jnr, who finished the second day being not out on 37 runs.
Another Tier 1 clash between Sylhet Division and Chittagong Division saw the second day's play getting called off without a ball being bowled due to rain. Chittagong finished at the first day at a score of 282/9 and will resume the innings from there on day-3.
