Tigresses finish on a winning note

Bangladesh women's national team finally found something to cheer about as they won the one-off ODI against the Pakistan women by six wickets after a dismal run in the four-match T20I series.
Although Bangladesh’s sole purpose behind hosting the Pakistan team was to kickstart their preparations for the Women’s World T20, they will be happy to have put an end to their losing streak in limited-overs cricket with the ODI-win.
Batting first at the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium, Pakistan’s three top-order batters added a handful of runs while the rest could not even exceed the 5-run mark. Bangladesh bowlers did well to scythe through the Pakistan batting as the visitors were bundled out for 94 runs.
Khadija Tul Kubra put up a brilliant performance to bag a six-for while the Bangladesh skipper Rumana Ahmed scalped two wickets and Jahanara Alam and Lata Mandal took one wicket each.

Rumana then exhibited her all-round brilliance by sharing a decisive 81-run stand with Fargana Hoque after Bangladesh lost two wickets for six runs at the beginnings.
Rumana and Fargana could not stay at the crease till the end and got out scoring 34 and 48 runs, respectively. However, their departure could not stop Bangladesh from clinching a 6-wicket victory with 21 overs to spare.
