All-rounder Sakib al Hasan hinted of surviving a huge scare as he underwent an immediate surgery at Apollo Hospital on Thursday.

Sakib, who was expected to fly to America for the surgery, was admitted to Apollo Hospital as he failed to sustain the pain that forced him to go under the knife to remove pus,

Cricfrenzy learnt that if the surgery was delayed by a few hours it could have had a severe impact on him as his injured finger got infected with pus.

Sakib through a face book post cleared the air regarding his present condition and what prompted him to go under the knife.

‘’By the blessing of you all I survived from getting hooked into a big suffering,’’ Sakib was quoted in his official Face book page.

‘’When I left the team and returned home I did not realize that I would face such a terrible experience. After returning I was having extreme pain and it became unbearable so had to get admitted in the hospital and do a surgery. The finger was infected and there were 60-70 mg of pus that needed to be removed so went under the knife,’’ the all-rounder added.

According to sources close to Sakib, as there were no visa available for Singapore and Thailand it forced the all-rounder to get admitted in the hospital and get the surgery done on immediate basis.

After coming from West Indies Sakib wanted to do the operation at the earliest possible time but as per the insistence of BCB he had to make sure that he is available for the Asia Cup.

However, ahead of the match against Pakistan his situation got worse that prompted him to leave the tournament at midway.
