Bangladesh batsman Mohammad Ashraful has been placed in the gold category in Afghanistan Premier League players' draft, revealed by the organizers on their official Facebook page on Monday.
The tournament will be played among five franchises. It will take place between 5 and 21 October at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The league has been granted approval by the International Cricket Council (ICC), after the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) submitted an application to the governing body of the game last month. Following this approval, the league will now be able to field some of the finest cricketers from around the world.
As per the rules, the ICC full-member nations can issue NOCs to their players only if the ICC approves the event.
The five teams in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League have been named after five provinces of Afghanistan – Kabul, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Balkh and Paktia.
Ashraful, whose international ban was lifted on August 13 this year, is eligible to play in the league. It will be his first T20 exposure in five years.
