Bangladesh get one over the Windies

The art of never giving up is what defines the personality of an entity. Even when the back is pushed against a wall, the ability to flail the arms and come out of it with nothing but grit to of not losing the fight is all that matters.
This is what the Bangladesh cricket team did as they beat West Indies in the second T20I of the series. After winning the toss and deciding to bowl first, West Indies struck early when Liton Das fell to Ashley Nurse in the second over. He could just make 1 run from 5 balls.
Next to go was Mushfiqur Rahim and he was followed by Soumya Sarkar. The score was 48 for 3 after 7.4 overs. Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal were on the crease and, for the umpteenth time, their partnership saved Bangladesh from a potential collapse.
They put up a 90-run partnership in just 50 balls to take the score to 138, after which Tamim Iqbal lost his wicket to Andre Russell. The opening batsman made 74 from 44 balls.
Meanwhile, Shakib continued his onslaught and took his score to 60 from 38 balls. In the end, Bangladesh finished with 171 runs from their 20 overs with the loss of 5 wickets.
Ashley Nurse and Keemo Paul took two wickets each and Andre Russell took a scalp for the West Indians.
In response, Evin Lewis failed once again as he got out after scoring just a single run. Andre Russell and Marlon Samuels were the next ones to depart while Denesh Ramdin also followed suit.

After that, a partnership between Andre Fletcher and Rovman Powell took the score from 58-4 to 116-5 in 14.2 overs. Both the batsmen made 43 runs each but Nazmul Islam grabbed them by the scruff of the neck and sent them back to the pavilion.
Carlos Brathwaite and Ashley Nurse couldn’t do much as the hosts finished with 159 runs in 20 overs after losing 9 wickets. Nazmul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets while Shakib Al Hasan took a couple of wickets and Rubel Hossain took the remaining one to help Bangladesh defend their total.
What they said
Shakib Al Hasan: "We had a chat after the last match and we had that belief that we can win against Windies. Crowd was a massive factor, I felt we were playing in Bangladesh. Hopefully, they will support us tomorrow too. All the bowlers bowled brilliantly. It was a great team effort from us in the end."
Tamim Iqbal, Man of the Match: "I took my chance but it didn't come off. Today I was more patient, I took my time in the middle and went for it later in my innings. I cashed in at the right time. He (Shakib) played an unbelievable innings, as soon as he came in. He took the pressure off me as we didn't have a great start. It is my first time on this pitch and I liked the pitch. When you score runs you always like the pitch."
Carlos Brathwaite: "We were a bit casual in the field and that is where the match turned. I was confident of chasing this total down. There were too many lapses in the field and Bangladesh came out trump. Tomorrow is important and hopefully, we will bring our A game. I think Ramdin's DRS call was questionable. We lost a couple of wickets in the powerplay and somedays these things just happens. I don't think it was too much of a bad day. As long as the attitude is the same like the first game, it should be a cracker of a game tomorrow."
