Pride at stake for Australia, suggests Michael Clarke

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke believes that the Australian cricket team need to find a way to get out of the rut that they find themselves in and rebuild quickly.
After the respective bans on Steven Smith and David Warner, the batting of the Australian team has weakened considerably. With the Indian cricket team arriving in the country for a tour in November this year, Clarke has called for the Baggie Greens to buck up and avoid the embarrassment of losing to the Men In Blue for the first time in Australia.
“Australia is under pressure at the moment with everything that has happened. They need to try and work out what their team is going to be. They need to find a way and start to rebuild really quickly because it is a massive series considering we have never lost to India in Australia.”

“So the current team needs to figure out how they are going to build on that success and beat a really good Indian team.”
Both David Warner and Steven Smith are going to be out for the next one year and will miss out of the series against India, leaving a massive hole in the batting order. Meanwhile, India have never won a series in Australia in their history and will see this as the perfect opportunity to get one up over their rivals.
