Shane Warne blasts Cricket Australia

Former Australia leg-spinner has lashed out at Cricket Australia for their decision to extend the Big Bash League. The league had a total of 35 fixtures but will now see it increase to 43 games and is set to extend to mid-February when it takes place next year.
It had been earlier reported that the increased number of games will generate more value to the broadcasters Channel Seven and Fox Sports, who have only recently signed a deal worth 1.2 billion Australia dollars ($1 million approx.) for the next six years.
As a result, Shane Warne was left fuming as he took his frustration out on Twitter.
"Australian Cricket should be an equal partnership between the players & the board, then everyone would be on the same page, sure they won't always agree - but if both parties attitude is what's best for Australian Cricket & not themselves, then Cricket & the fans would be happy," he tweeted.

He then called on for the board to cut out on the greed as he believes that the competition is already great as it is and didn’t need the extension.
"Ps And hopefully greed would then be thrown out the door too ! For example - it’s ridiculous that the BBL will have a lot more games next season & beyond - It’s a great comp & less is more should be the attitude - not let’s put more games on for $$ - diluting a wonderful product"
Shane Warne and controversy have always gone hand in hand. After all, in his long and illustrious career, he has had his fair share of moments with the drug incident being the cherry on the top.
