‘Mission accomplished’ – Chris Gayle

After qualifying for the World Cup 2019, Chris Gayle had some things to say. The two-time World champions defeated Scotland by 5 runs (D/L method) in a match marred by the rain. Whilst batting first, the Caribbean outfit posted a total of a mere 198 runs.
In response, Scotland made 125 with the loss of 5 wickets after 35.2 overs, when the rain poured and it was then decided that Scotland were short by 5 runs and the match was handed to the Windies.
Taking to Twitter, Chris Gayle mentioned that the goal was achieved and now he looks forward to staying fit and playing in another World Cup.

"Mission accomplished, definitely. It has been a long journey and the process we have gone through to qualify, we still have to give thanks even though it was a rain interrupted game today, but a win is a win.
“I am so happy to have qualified for another World Cup. I just have to stay fit now and we have a young team, but it will be my last World Cup that is for sure, so I am looking forward to it," Gayle said.
