Maxwell overthrows Shakib from the top spot

Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan lost his first place to Aussie cricketer Glenn Maxwell in the ICC T20 All-rounder Rankings. Shakib who had been leading the list across all formats fell 63 rating points short of the Australian.
Maxwell was magnificent throughout the recently-concluded tri-nation series where he amassed 233 runs including a century whereas Shakib missed his team’s last two-T20I series against Sri Lanka due to a finger injury.
However, the Bangladesh Test & T20I skipper is still leading the All-rounders’ Rankings in both Test and ODI with 420 and 359 points, respectively. He is 20 points clear of Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez in ODI and 30 points ahead of India player Ravindra Jadeja in Test rankings.

Other Bangladeshi players who are in the top 20s in their respective ICC Player Rankings include the likes of Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, and Mustafizur Rahman.
In T20I Batsmen rankings, Soumya holds the 20th place with 581 points. Mustafizur stands 7th with 656 points over Shakib Al Hasan who, with 625 points, is 10th among the top T20 bowlers.
Tamim Iqbal with his current form owns the 16th place with 698 points followed by Mushfiq in the 19th position who has 652 points in the ODI batsmen rankings. When it comes to the bowlers in ODIs, Mustafizur positions 20th with 601 points.
Shakib is the only Bangladeshi bowler among the top 20 bowlers in ICC Rankings with his collection of 655 points at the 18th position.
