Kohli out of India squad for Nidahas trophy

The upcoming tri-nation T20I series between India, Sri Lanka
and Bangladesh is set to be played from the 15th of March. India
have announced their squad with Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Jasprit Bumrah rested
from the tournament.
The decision came from the fact that India have a tight
schedule up ahead and chairman of selectors MSK Prasad said that they wanted to
lighten up the workload on the players, especially with how intensely they
played in South Africa against the Proteas.
"We've kept in mind the workload and upcoming schedule
while finalising the team for Nidahas Trophy," chairman of selectors MSK
Prasad said. "The high-performance team has suggested that adequate rest
should be given to our fast bowlers to help improve athletic performance,
maximise rest and prevent injury. MS Dhoni was not available for selection as
he had requested for rest."

Not only have the above three mentioned players rested, but the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav have also been given a break. The few openings were filled up by Rishabh Pant, Vijay Shankar, Washington Sundar, Deepak Hooda and Mohammad Siraj.
Rohit Sharma will be the captain for the tournament with Shikhar Dawan as his deputy.
