‘Our results were terrible’ – Sri Lanka team manager

It seems as though the fortunes of the Sri Lankan cricket
team have turned ever since the arrival of Chandika Hathurusingha. The Lankans
were going through a terrible time before his arrival—losing even to Zimbabwe
at home—but are now on the verge of completing a series whitewash against the
Tigers away from home.
Indeed, they won the final of the tri-nation against the Bangladeshi
side. After that, they beat them 1-0 in the Test series and have now won the
first T20I encounter of the two match T20I series. And team manager, Asanka Gurusinha,
has heaped praise on Hathurusingha, claiming that his arrival has changed the
team for the better after a string of poor results in the past.

‘This series will bring a lot of confidence in our team. Our
results in the last few tours have been terrible. We are moving with a set
target since the arrival of [Chandika] Hathurusingha. We want to keep up this
consistency.
The second T20I is set to take place on Sunday, 18th
of February, as Sri Lanka will look to complete their tour with wins in all
three fronts.
