Khaled Mahmud innovative training drill

Innovation is the reason for which humankind have progressed
this far in the lifespan of the earth. After all, we have all mutated from a single-celled organism
to the beings that we are today. It seems as though interim Bangladesh coach,
Khaled Mahmud Sujon, is an innovator of sorts himself.
The former captain of the national team took on the training
camp and especially focused on 5 pacers with a somewhat unique training drill, as reported by Jago News 24. He
handed them a lighter ball and asked them to bowl to a single stump with it.
In the beginning, they struggled. After all, a light ball in
difficult to grip—let alone aim. However, slowly, but steadily, the pacers
gathered momentum and the rate of hitting the stump increased with stability,
bringing much joy to Khaled Mahmud.

Despite the fact that the rest of the team trained normally
on the field of the academy, Khaled Mahmud paid special attention to the pacers
in a bid to make them more accurate against the Zimbabweans the Sri Lankans.
The 5 pacers were: Taskin Ahmed, Subashis Ray, Mustafizur
Rahman, Shafiul Islam and Rubel Hossain.
The Bangladesh players are currently preparing themselves for the upcoming tri-nation series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe and then a Test and T20I series against the former. The 32 players on the probable list are currently training in the camp in order to make a berth in the final squad.
