South Africa showed how much preparation they have taken in order to welcome India. Zimbabwe were looking like the guinea pig of Proteas' strength-measuring experiment.

The first ever 4-day long day-night Test ended in just 2 days as South Africa won by an innings and 120 runs. Zimbabwean batting line-up could not put up a fight whatsoever, against the mighty African bowling attack.

A century from Aiden Markram and a fifty from de Villiers are the only innings reaching the milestones. 29 wickets fell after a total of 150-odd overs being bowled.

South Africa declared their innings at 309 runs after losing 9 wickets yesterday. They didn't have to bat anymore as the total they had posted seemed to be more than enough.

Zimbabwe lost all wickets at 68 runs in the 1st innings. Zimbabwean team batted again as the Proteas enforced a follow-on.

Morne Morkel has been brilliant throughout the 1st innings taking a five-wicket haul. Rabada and Phehlukwayo got two wickets each while Philander took one in the same innings.

The next innings was also somewhat the same miserable story for Zimbabwe. This time they were all-out registering a total of 131 runs on the scoreboard.

No batsman could face the fierce South African bowling attack on the occasion of a fifer from Maharaj  in the 2nd innings. Rabada and Philander also bagged a wicket each. Morkel, this time, remained wicketless as Phehlukwayo scalped the other three wickets.

The Proteas now have a tougher challenge to offer to the visiting sub-continental team. Although Indian team are way stronger this Zimbabwean side, South Africa have proved that they ready to face all challenges on their way to glory.
