Since the attack on team Sri Lanka back in 2009, Pakistan have been deprived of international cricket at home.

A terror attack resulted in six members of the Sri Lankan team being injured, while six policemen and two civilians lost their lives in that incident.

The final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this year was hosted by Pakistan. That was followed by a T20 series between the World XI and the Pakistani team. Recently, the Lankans also visited the nation for the final match of a three-match T20 series against Pakistan.

Pakistan have played almost all of their home matches—28 Tests, 58 ODIs and 37 T20Is—on neutral venues. Alongside moral damages of the team, PCB incurred losses worth $100 million.

In order to bring international cricket back to Pakistan, PCB announced a proposal of hosting ACC Emerging Cup at home. The tournament will involve all the junior players from all the cricketing Asian countries.

According to the reports from the Pakistani media, both Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have clearly refused to support the idea of PCB. It is believed that both India and Bangladesh were not present in the meeting.

A member from the PCB reportedly said, “On 29th October, it was decided that Pakistan will host the tournament in the ACC meeting. But none of the members from Bangladesh and India were present,”

“We want to host the tournament at any cost. We will try our best to host the Asian Emerging Nations Cup,” the member added.
