Warner scores ton as Australia get a great start

England have suffered the humiliation of losing all three Tests in this Ashes series so far. Although Australia have sealed the series already, England can still hope to salvage some pride by winning their last Test of this year.
Today, at the MCG, Australia won the toss and chose to bat first on the flat track with a lightening fast outfield. With 244 runs on the board losing 3 wickets, it can't be said that they have made the best of day-1.
The kind of flying start David Warner had given Australia could let the Baggy Greens be on the driving seat already. With 102 runs with all wickets remaining, Australia were eyeing to post a bigger score to take control of the Melbourne Test after 1st session.
However, despite a loose start, the English bowlers stopped Australia from running away. They did well in the 2nd session by allowing only 43 runs in 26 overs picking up 2 wickets.

Cameron Bancroft was the first man to leave the ground as he was trapped lbw by Chris Woakes. He played a rather slow innings of 26 runs facing 95 deliveries.
David Warner was looking anxious to reach his 21st Test century after being stuck in the late 90's for 19 deliveries. He could have been dismissed at 99 after getting out caught at mid-on; unfortunately, Tom Curran delivered a no-ball due to overstepping.
Warner got his century after that, but could not add more than 4 runs before returning to the pavilion. He made 103 quick-runs from 151 deliveries. Following his departure, Australia's score was 135-2.
In the 3rd session, Stuart Broad, after 69 overs since his last wicket, dismissed Usman Khwaja at 17 runs. Then came Shaun Marsh who helped Steve Smith build an unbeaten partnership of 84 runs.
Steve Smith will be starting the 2nd day with his score of 65 runs, while Shaun will accompany him by continuing his innings of 31 runs. England, on the other hand, will be trying to prevent the Kangaroos from registering a bigger score.
