England legend hopes that Ben Stokes is watching

After the Aussies retained the Urn, former England captain
Michael Vaughan took the opportunity to reminisce all-rounder Ben Stokes. The
Englishman was dropped out of the Ashes squad amidst ongoing police investigation
concerning the event that happened outside a bar in Bristol.
And Michael Vaughan admitted that England had no chance of
competing in Ashes without their iconic all-rounder. He also hoped that the
all-rounder would be hurting because of the loss—something that would zing him
out of the indiscipline.
“I would hope that Ben Stokes is watching and I would hope
that he is hurting more than the team in the dressing room", said Vaughan.

“As soon as Ben Stokes did what he did, it was very clear to
me that he was going to struggle to be in Australia and I said it straight away
that I didn’t think England would have any chance of competing out here without
Ben Stokes.
“I hope that he is hurting more than the players that have
been here.”
Ben Stokes was arrested after getting on camera for
assaulting some people outside a bar in Bristol, with the suspicion that he
caused bodily harm. However, according to two witnesses, he actually saved the
two from homophobic abuse as the witnesses were homosexual and were on the
receiving end of the abuse.
In the end, Stokes was released on bail and is still under
investigation. As a result, he was suspended from the England team and couldn’t
fly to Australia for the Ashes.
