Bangladesh skipper Shakib al Hasan said on Sunday that they need to play without any fear as due to it they are not playing freely in the longer format.
The batting approach of Bangladesh cannot be termed anything less than amateurish as they neither tried to defend nor went into an attacking mode against Afghanistan.
As a result while they could accumulate only 205 run in their first innings they are struggling 136-6 in their second innings at the end of the second days play, chasing 397 runs.

Shakib admitted that his team mates need to come up with a better approach in the longer formats while added scarcity of genuine leg spinners also looked to have played an impact on their game.
‘’You can say both[ technical and mental problem],’’ said Shakib.
‘’Because we don’t play wrist spinners whether it’s left or right handed, it’s something new for us. So we will have some issues with planning, no matter how much preparation we take,’’ he said.
‘’We brought many wrist spinners and practiced against them in nets. Until you play in the match and become successful, the practice would not help much. I won’t say anyone had problem with their approach, the problem was in execution,’’ he said.
‘’We lacked playing with big heart. When you play with fear, we will face problem to execute. Like Liton, when he play T20 he hits all the entire reverse sweep shot, but he could not do it in Test. Coach has said the same, he wants us to play with open mind. Actually, we play with fear (in Test),’’ he concluded.
