Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan said on Friday that they are still hopeful of making a comeback in the one-off Test series against Afghanistan.
‘’Anything can happen in cricket. We have two days left. We have to take the two wickets. Batsmen have to understand their responsibility and execute that. Match can turn at any moment. But we have to try,’’ Mehedy told reporters.
‘’We have to be at our process. Batsmen have to take challenge to chase such big score. Everyone has to contribute,’’ he said

‘’The players who will play well session by session have will have better opportunities to win. We did not take them lightly. We always try to be serious in international matches, whoever our opponent is. We try to be serious as a player. And Afghanistan have shown well patience in this match, they have played good cricket I have to admit that, that’s why they are ahead,’’ he said.
Bangladesh are on a knife-edge of a defeat after they put up yet another lackluster bowling effort to let Afghanistan continue its absolute dominance over them on day three of the one-off Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan was in the center stage yet again by becoming the only fourth captain in the history to score a half-century and claim five-for on captaincy debut.
The youngest Test captain, who scored 51 in Afghanistan’s first innings, took 5-55 to dismiss Bangladesh for 205, earning a 137 runs lead for the side.
Opener Ibrahim Zadran then hit 87, while Asghar Afghan followed his first innings 92 with 50 as Afghanistan scored 237-8, before a power-failure in stadium brought a premature end to the day three, with the lead swelling to an improbable 374.
