And it comes down to what happens at St. Kitts

Can they break their hoodoo?

One year, nine months and 18 days. This is the exact quantity of time since Bangladesh last won a series – be it bilateral or tri-series – in any format of the game. Back in 2016, Afghanistan visited Bangladesh and it was the last time when the Tigers overcame a nation in a series as they won it 2-1.
They had a chance to break this winless curse in Guyana in the second ODI of the ongoing series against West Indies. However, they bottled it in the very last moment and in such a way that it would have made the South African cricket team proud.
With 14 runs needed from the last two overs, Bangladesh somehow managed to lose the game by three runs. The Tigers will now have to give it their all against the host in the final game of the ODI series at St. Kitts.
The track in the next match is more of a belter and it would be interesting to see Bangladesh’s approach here. Tamim Iqbal, who has been the team’s highest scorer, played way too many dot balls in the first two matches – something that might have cost the team in the second ODI. So it is a matter of interest as to how he will go about his game in this match.
Meanwhile, West Indies have some sensational hitters in their ranks and could post a very high score should they bat first. Both Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis haven’t been able to fire on all cylinders yet, but they have a chance here – according to West Indies coach Stuart Law.

'Cricket, in this day and age, you can't hide. Everyone knows about this ground, so those two - Evin [Lewis] and Chris [Gayle] - at the top of the order, if they get off to a good start, fireworks can happen and when they do, it is very entertaining. So fingers crossed that's the case. Hasn't quite clicked for them at the top in this series but tomorrow is another opportunity for them to get it right.'
Law believes that the team batted very well to get back into the series after losing the first game.
'It is an important opportunity to win a series. We batted well to get back into the series in Guyana, so we have earned that right now to go out there tomorrow to win a series. The way the boys are playing, yes there are some areas to improve on, but happy with other aspects as well. So looking forward that St. Kitts will provide with conditions we can relish and get the job done.”
Andre Russell won’t be able to play the last game as he has been inflicted with a knee injury.
A lot is at stake at St. Kitts as that is where the series will be decided.
