Mustafizur Rahman won’t be allowed to play franchise leagues - Papon

Bangladesh Cricket Board chief Nazmul Hasan Papon has stated that he won’t be allowing Mustafizur Rahman to play in foreign franchise leagues for the next two years.
Mustafizur Rahman injured himself while playing in the Indian Premier League. In Mumbai Indians' final league match Delhi Daredevils, the left-handed pacer injured his left foot while fielding off his own bowling.
It was later revealed that he had suffered from a hairline fracture on his toe and had to subsequently sit out of the T20I series against Afghanistan. This didn’t go down well with Nazmul Hasan, who has now revealed his frustration and stated that he has informed ‘Fizz’ that he won’t be allowed to play in franchise leagues for the next two years.

‘Mustafizur Rahman injured himself while playing in a foreign franchise league [Indian Premier League], [after which] he can’t serve his country. I think that this is not acceptable.
‘He will be under our board, the board will take care of him and then he will get injured while playing for them [foreign franchise team], after which he can’t play for the national team.
‘On top of that, we are the ones that have to treat him [to fitness]. This can’t happen. I have informed him [Mustafizur] that he can’t play [in foreign franchise leagues] for the next two years.’
Mustafizur Rahman is Bangladesh premium white-ball bowler as he has taken 51 wickets from only 26 innings in ODIs at an average of 19.19. He has now recovered from his injury and is set to take part in Bangladesh’s ODI series against West Indies.
