Maxwell names person who helped him find form

Enigmatic Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell has stated that newly-appointed head coach of Australia Justin Langer has helped him find his feet. His words came after he smashed a 38-ball 56 to help Australia power over Zimbabwe.
Maxwell had been struggling for form lately as he averaged just a little over 14 in the recently-concluded Indian Premier League and wasn’t at his best in the latest games that he had played.
And now, the dashing right-handed batsman stated that he has been working over his touch with Justin Langer for a while now in an attempt to improve his concentration.
"I've been doing a fair bit of work with (Justin Langer) recently about making sure I was watching the ball as hard as I can," he said on Friday (July 6). "I've been doing a lot of work in the nets making sure I'm really concentrating and that's all I'm thinking about at the moment. It was just a little gesture towards him," he added.

Speaking of his batting against the hosts, Maxwell stated that after being set on the crease, it was the right time to have a go at off-spinner Malcolm Waller.
"The off-spinner came on after I'd been out there for about four or five overs so that was the time for me to go. Luckily I hit it over the ropes a few times and I was able to get some momentum. It was nice to spend a bit of time in the middle and get a bit of momentum with my batting," he reckoned.
Meanwhile, he also took the opportunity to shower Travis Head with praises after the duo shared a 103-run partnership for the third wicket.
"(Head) takes pressure off you with the way he plays, he hits the ball in different areas and puts a bit of pressure back on the bowler. For me and him to put on a good partnership, we've done it a few times not just in T20s but in one-day cricket. (We) put a bit of pressure on the field and run hard, (it) was good fun," he noted.
Australia will now face Pakistan in the final of the tri-nation series on Sunday in a match where the former, according to Maxwell, will face the “no.1 team in T20s” while also mentioning that Australia have “had a bit of recent success in tri-series.”
