West Indies should win against Bangladesh – former Windies star

Former West Indies star Jeffrey Dujon believes that West Indies should win the Test series against Bangladesh while also admitting that the Tigers are “above” West Indies in Test cricket.
There was once a time when the West Indians were downright the best side in the sport. The Caribbean produced some of the best fast bowlers in the game that dominated Test cricket back in the 70s and 80s.
However, right now, the once-giants aren’t were they used to be as according to the latest Test rankings, Bangladesh are one place above West Indies at 8 while the latter find themselves at 9.
Nevertheless, Dujon expects an inspired West Indies to win the Test series against Bangladesh despite the fact that they let slip a 1-0 lead against Sri Lanka at home and eventually let the visitors come back with a win in the third Test to level the series at 1-1.

“I didn't think that I would ever say it, but Bangladesh are above us in the Test rankings…but it is a series that we should win,” he said.
Dujon added that West Indies still don’t have a great bowling attack and that the batsmen should support them as much as they can.
“We need something that our bowlers can work with, we still don't have that strong a bowling unit, but we need to give the bowlers a bit more help and the batsmen have got to stand up and be counted…” Dujon maintained.
The Test series against Bangladesh begins from tomorrow at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium in Antigua.
