Kohli: Australia inferior to India

India captain Virat Kohli has warned England that the Indian cricket team are superior to the Australian team that the English recently faced and thrashed. The Australians were dismantled 5-0 in the ODI series and then also lost the sole T20I encounter.
Meanwhile, on the eve of England-India series, Kohli took the opportunity to warn the hosts about India’s ability and experience while also bringing up their recently concluded Indian Premier League and the two-match T20I series against Ireland which the Men in Blue won 2-0.
"We definitely are," Kohli said. "We believe in our abilities, and we obviously have a lot of Twenty20 experience.
"We've just come off the IPL and a couple of games against Ireland as well -- where the team has looked great."

However, Kohli also showed respect towards England, who are the best ODI side in the world at the moment, but also ascertained that the Indians are going to play hard and positive cricket.
"We expect England to come hard at us, and we certainly want to play some positive and hard-fought cricket," said Kohli.
"It's going to be an exciting series, and we believe we have the side to put up a great fight -- and if we win the crucial moments then anything can happen," added the 29-year-old.
Virat Kohli will lead team India on the back of a great 2017-18 season, where he scored 455 runs in 11 white-ball matches. His last tour in England might have been a disaster but he is a much more mature batsman now and could redeem himself this time around.
