Mustafizur ranks best among pacers

The match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad ended in the favour of the latter after Billy Stanlake hit a last-ball boundary when a single run was needed. The match was never supposed to go to the last over but some brilliant death over bowling from Mustafizur Rahman and Jasprit Bumrah brought the match in Mumbai’s favour.
With two overs to go, the ball was handed to Mustafizur Rahman, who then bowled six balls to concede only a single run while also taking two wickets. It was his second over in the death-end of the match and he gave away only four runs in total to bring his team back in the game.
Much akin to what happened in the Nidahas trophy, however, Mustafizur’s team ultimately lost as Ben Cutting failed to defend 11 runs in the last over. The Fizz’s efforts might have gone in vain, but his brilliance can’t be hidden.

According to the recently introduced Smart Stats of ESPNCricinfo, Mustafizur ranked fourth in the match with a smart economy rate of 5.18. He was bettered by three players as Rashid Khan topped the list with Mayank Markande at two and Krunal Pandya at three.
As it can be inferred from above, all the three players above the Bangladeshi left-arm seamer are spinners as he ranks as the best among the pacers when it comes to smart economy.
