Ahead of the Indian Premier League – that begins on the 7^th of April, today – Harsha Bhogle spoke to Zaheer Khan and Simon Doull while previewing the tournament for Cricbuzz. When speaking about Mumbai Indians, the place of Mustafizur was discussed and there were some interesting bits from both Doull and Zak.

According to Doull, the left-handed pacer from Bangladesh will be in the team depending on the pitch, with his opinion being based on the fact that the Bangladesh pacer is most likely to play the home games at Wankhede.

Simon Doull said: "At Wankhede, you are probably going to pick Mustafizur and if you are going away and it is turning [...] they might play Dhananjaya there.”

Meanwhile, Zaheer Khan believes that the history of Mumbai has always leaned on having two overseas pacers, which is why there is a good chance that Mustafizur could play in the starting XI, especially at home where the flow of runs needs to be stopped by death over bowlers.

"If JP Duminy doesn't play then Mustafizur certainly comes in,” said Zak. “Over the years you have seen that Mumbai usually go in with two overseas quicks and that’s why it is making me believe that Mustafizur might come into picture because as I said, Mumbai wicket is very easy for the batters, that's why they need good quality bowlers to restrict that flow [of runs].”

Mumbai begin their campaign against Chennai later today and since the match is at Wankhede, there is a good chance for the cutter-master to feature. He has taken 17 wickets in his 17 IPL games at an average of 26.76 and an economy rate of 7.15 and will be a great addition to the Mumbai Indians squad, especially for the death overs.
