‘David Warner will be missed’

The ball-tampering saga has seen David Warner been banned by Cricket Australia from representing Australia and playing in the Australian domestic circuit, something which prompted the BCCI to follow suit and ban the former Australia vice-captain – as well as Steve Smith – from this year’s IPL.
As a result, the Sunrisers Hyderabad are not only going to miss a great batsman, but also a superb captain that led them to IPL glory in 2016. This is why Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar believes that the team will miss Warner due to his explosive nature as a batsman.
"Of course, we will miss him (Warner)," Bhuvneshwar told Mail Today.
"A batsman like him can single-handedly win you matches. You always want someone like him and he was playing so well as a batsman and as a captain. His replacement (Alex Hales) is also good but it will not be easy to fill his shoes," added the pacer.

In Warner’s stead, Kane Williamson has been named the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad with Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the vice-captain. Bhuvi then stated that the Kiwi captain is a great choice for the team and has everyone’s faith.
"He's a superb captain. We know how good he has been for New Zealand in the past few years. He is a calm guy and knows what he is doing as a skipper. Last season, he helped Warner a lot. The management gave him the opportunity and everyone trusts him, so I am sure he'll do a good job," he said.
Sunrisers will begin their IPL campaign on the 9th of April against Rajasthan Royals – who will also be without their initial captain Steve Smith – and will look to start their hunt with a bang.
