Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has stated that he is confident after having a training session with his new team. The Bangladesh Test and T20I captain was signed for 2 crore rupees in the auction earlier this year and is going to represent the Hyderabad franchise for the very first time.

Shakib had previously played for the Kolkata Knight Riders since 2011 but was let go in this year’s auction along with many others. The best all-rounder in the world smashed 37 from 18 balls in a practice match yesterday to show his good touch with the bat.

Speaking to Hyderabad’s official channel, the left-handed batsman stated that while he was feeling a little nervous before the training session, he felt confident after it and hopes that the Sunrisers have a great season and go on to win the trophy by the conclusion of the tournament.

"I feel great. Obviously, a bit nervous before the training, but after the training, I am feeling confident. [I] Had a very good session, hope I can take on this confidence tomorrow and the next day and the next day. Hopefully, they [the fans] will keep on supporting us, that's all I can say at this moment. We are a very good team and we can go all the way.”
