Sunrisers Hyderabad announce David Warner replacement

With the expulsion of David Warner from the Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad needed a foreign player to open the innings for them. The hunt has apparently come to an end with the 2016 champions unveiling Alex Hales as their newest recruit.
The English opener is a blistering batsman who could demolish an entire bowling lineup on his own. Indeed, his numbers speak volumes about his ability in the shortest format of the game. With 173 T20 innings under his belt, he could be labeled as a veteran in the format.

In that time, he has scored 4704 runs with an average of 28.85 and a strike-rate of 143.54. All these numbers prove that he is quite close to Warner as a player in the shortest format of the game. There is, however, a downside here as the Englishman doesn’t possess the leadership skills of the former Australia vice-captain.
