Sunrisers Hyderabad appoint captain

After David Warner and Steven Smith were banned from the Indian Premier League due to their involvement in the ball-tampering saga, Sunrisers Hyderabad had to announce a new captain to take the helm of the team.
The names of Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shakib Al Hasan were in contention for it, but they have announced that New Zealand captain Kane Williamson will take over the reins of the Hyderabad outfit.
Hyderabad are yet to announce David Warner’s replacement at the top of the order, but it has been reported that Hyderabad are in talks with Kusal Perera.

David Warner’s absence will not only hurt Hyderabad in the sense that they will miss the man who led them to IPL glory in 2016, they will also miss a sure hub of runs in the top order.
