Mitchell McClenaghan gets his IPL chance

They say that if you want something with utmost intensity and desire, the universe conspires in a way for you get it. This thought-process could be brought up here with regards to Mitchell McClenaghan. The Kiwi bowler dropped out of playing for New Zealand in order to focus on the T20 leagues all over the world.
However, the New Zealander was left unsold in the IPL auctions in February after spending three seasons with the Mumbai Indians. He must have felt devastated when witnessing himself being overlooked.
But now he finds himself drafted into the Mumbai Indians squad for his base price of 1 crore rupees as a replacement for Jason Behrendorff, who is opting out of the Indian Premier League due to a back issue.

McClenaghan has been a key member of the Mumbai Indians, taking 19 wickets in 14 games in their IPL-winning campaign in 2017.
