Chris Gayle extends Rangpur contract

It has only been a day since Chris Gayle created a maelstrom
at the Mirpur Shere Bangla stadium to send the Rangpur fan into a world of ecstasy.
The pizzazz of the West Indian entertained the fans and his team-mates alike as
Rangpur won the 5th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League.
And if that wasn’t enough, then here’s another good news for the Rangpur Riders: Chris Gayle has extended his contract with the Rangpur Riders and will play for the franchise in the next season’s edition as well, a source told Cricfrenzy.
"Chris Gayle has already been retained for the next season, the Rangpur owners are very happy with him," said the source.

This news doesn’t come as much of a surprise given that his
two centuries in the last three games of the tournament for Rangpur helped his
side win the trophy and the owners would do literally anything to keep the
Calypso King ruling the waters of Rangpur.
The big West Indian not only won the game for his side with his ball-smashing nerve-wrecking career-ending (of bowlers) 146 not out from 69, but
also broke numerous records in the process. One of them was the 18 sixes that
he hit in his innings – a record in any game.
And now, the Rangpur fans will be able to witness more of
his magic as the West Indian will play in the same colours again next season. This
news might not yet be official, but it won’t be long before it is.
It’s strange how life works, isn’t it? Just a months ago,
Gayle was picked in the Pakistan Super League draft, but now finds himself in
the top echelons of the T20 cricketing fraternity once again with his
record-breaking performances in the BPL.
He is the cream of the crop – and you just don’t overlook or
undermine Christopher Henry Gayle.
