However, a brilliant 91-run partnership between captain Tamim and Dawid Malan stabilized the innings. Malan was the standout performer, smashing 63 runs off 37 balls at a strike rate of 170.27, featuring 8 fours and 3 sixes. Tamim contributed a steady 27 runs.

Earlier, Khulna Tigers posted a competitive total of 187/5 after being sent in to bat. Openers Naim Sheikh and Mehidy Hasan Miraz gave Khulna a strong start with a 47-run stand. Miraz scored a brisk 29 off 15 balls, while Naim smashed a 27-ball 51, striking at 188.88 with 5 fours and 3 sixes.

The middle order chipped in with valuable contributions. Alex Ross and William Bosisto scored 20 runs each, while Afif Hossain added 32. The late fireworks came from Mahidul Islam Ankon, who hammered an unbeaten 27 off just 12 balls with 3 sixes and 2 fours, propelling Khulna to a challenging total. However, their efforts were in vain as Barishal chased it down comfortably.
