This is not something new. Bangladesh domestic cricket has a history of not being able to remunerate its players within due time. The recent addition to this list is Kalabagan Krira Chakra players.

According to Daily Star, seven Kalabagan players have sent a complaint to the Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury today about not being paid their remuneration for representing Kalabagan in the Dhaka Premier League.

Nizamuddin then confirmed to the players that the complaints have been taken into account and the club have been bestowed with the knowledge about the incident. The club will now have to inform BCB about their delay in paying the players’ salaries.  

It has also been reported that a few of the seven players have been paid half of their salaries while the rest are yet to receive anything. Mohammad Ashraful also played for Kalabagan but according to the report, he is yet to be paid his wages.

The report further adds that Kalabgan had previously warned the players that they would cut 15% of their wages should they not perform adequately – something which the players signed upon.
