Virat Kohli speaks about playing in county

Indian captain and superstar Virat Koli has spoken about playing county cricket in England. The captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore has been signed by Surrey and is set to play for them in a month-long stint after the IPL concludes.
He is doing this right before India tour England, where he has a terrible record with only 134 runs from 10 innings in the country. According to Kohli, the reason why he chose to play in the county is that he believes it would make him a better player.
"Playing county cricket will help me improve my game," the 29-year-old batsman told NDTV. "I think it makes things more challenging and more competitive and there are no guarantees whether you are going to do well even if you go in advance.

"It's just about giving yourself more opportunity to get used to the conditions that you are not used to."
Kohli will not be the only Indian player to play in the premier division of first-class cricket. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma are already playing in the tournament with Axar Patel also set to join after the curtains are drawn on the Indian Premier League.
If Kohli does play in the county, he will miss India’s one-off Test match against Afghanistan in June.
