Ligament-tear fear for Nasir Hossain

There is some bad news coming out of the Bangladesh camp as all-rounder Nasir Hossain, who captain Abahani Limited to their 19th Dhaka Premier League trophy, may have torn his right-knee ligaments and could be out for at least six months because of it.
According to Channel I Online, Nasir Hossain has gone to Apollo Hospital, situated in Dhaka, to conduct MRI tests on his right knee. Prior to that, he was at BCB’s headquarters to meet with BCB’s official doctor, Debashish Chowdhury, who thinks that he may have torn his ligaments and asked him to conduct an MRI scan.
Dr. Chowdhury stated that the MRI scan will reveal the extent of his injury.

According to BCB, Nasir was inflicted with the injury while doing fitness training drills. However, sources close to Channel I have revealed another story: the all-rounder got injured while playing football during training for Sirajganj Premier League.
Whatever be the case, the certainty is that Nasir Hossain will miss at least the fourth round of the Bangladesh Cricket League that is set to resume on the 10th of April. He is not the only one who will miss it as Taskin Ahmed is currently suffering from a back injury while Mehidy Hasan Miraz has hurt his shoulder.
Rubel Hossain is also suffering from illness after going to his country home in Bagerhat – and now, Nasir joins the infamous list.
