Rajasthan Royals sack Steve Smith from captaincy

Things are getting worse and worse for the Australia captain as according to a report from the Republic, Rajasthan Royals have decided to sack Steve Smith from the captaincy of the team even before a bowl of the IPL 2018 has been bowled.
According to the report, a top official of the Rajasthan Royals told Republic that the franchise have decided to drop Steve Smith from captaincy following his admission to being involved in the ball-tampering saga that involved Cameron Bancroft.
The incident occurred when Cameron Bancroft was caught hiding a yellow tape in his underwear. Later in the press conference, Steve Smith revealed that the leadership group knew about it and had planned it during the lunch.

"The leadership group knew about it. We spoke about it at lunch," Smith said. "I am not proud of what's happened. It's not within the spirit of the game. My integrity, the team's integrity and the leadership group's integrity have come into question. It won't happen again."
Seems like Steve Smith’s world is suddenly starting to fall apart.
