Virat Kohli to play in county cricket

Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batsmen in the world, but even he has his shortcoming. Within the majestic aura of his batting lies the deeply embedded weaknesses that we don’t see very often. They become apparent when he plays in England, however, as he averages just 13.4 after playing in 5 Tests in the country.
As a means to counter that, the Indian captain has decided to play in county cricket in England for Surrey and skip the first Test match of Afghanistan that is set to take place against India in Bengaluru. The Indian star is expected to fly to England and play for Surrey right after the Indian Premier League concludes in June.

This seems like a great decision on Kohli’s behalf since playing in the county is certain to make him ready for the England tour and help his demons in the land of the Three Lions.
