Brendon McCullum reveals why he trusted Mustafizur Rahman

For the first time in the history of the Pakistan Super
League, a match had to go to the Super Over when Lahore Qalandar’s tied Islamabad
United score. In the Super Over, however, Lahore Qalandars couldn’t defend
their score of 15 and captain Brendon McCullum was criticized for it.
Sunil Narine finished with figures of 10 runs in his four
overs and yet he wasn’t given the ball in the Super Over. McCullum, instead,
handed the onus of defending the target to Mustafizur Rahman. In the end, the
young Bangladeshi star failed to defend the score while also giving away a
crucial wide run.

Meanwhile, when quizzed about the incident, Baz took full
responsibility of the defeat, blaming himself for the catch that he dropped in
deep.
“Mustafizur and Sunil Narine were our two options for the
super over. It wasn’t turning as much as it was in the first innings and
Mustafizur is one of the best in the death overs. It was also my fault for not
taking that catch in the deep,” he said.
With that failure, the Qalandars lost their fourth game in a
row.
