The 10th encounter in PSL between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi is a rematch of the 2017 PSL final which the latter had certainly won. Before this match, Quetta managed two wins out of their three matches while Peshawar got their hands on just one win playing the same amount of matches.

Peshawar came into the match licking the wounds of defeat against Karachi in their last match. On the other hand, Quetta registered a win last night and will be looking forward to stretching their two-match winning streak further.

Quetta were sent to bat first following the toss on Thursday. They lost eight wickets while setting a mediocre total of 142 runs for Peshawar.

Quetta's batting innings was not impressive as only two of their batsmen were able to register decent innings. Shane Watson made 47 runs, the highest individual innings for his team, before getting dismissed by Khalid Usman. Rilee Rossouw posted 37 runs before returning to the pavilion.

The rest of the batting line-up failed to contribute effectively as their team ended up putting 141 runs on the board. Umaid Asif, Wahab Riaz, and Darren Sammy performed well with the ball and bagged two wickets each. Sameen Gul also took a scalp while conceding 20 runs off 4 overs.

Peshawar lost an early wicket as Kamran Akmal left the crease scoring 10 runs after getting dismissed by Watson. Darren Sammy tried to restore their innings but managed to make 23 runs before Mohammad Nawaz got him out.

Mohammad Hafeez shared a 54-run partnership with Tamim and was sent back to the hut by Hastings on 29 runs. Tamim got run out in the next over after playing a crucial knock of 36 runs.

Sabbir Rahman and Khalid Usman are currently on the crease eyeing a victory for Zalmi.
