Mosharraf Hossain powers Rupganj back to winning ways

After winning the toss and choosing to field first, Prime
Doleshwar were stunned with some gritty batting performance from the in-form
Abdul Mazid and his opening partner Mohammed Naim. They started well and put up
52 runs on board when Naim got out for 27.
Meanwhile, Abdul Mazid continued his glowing form to make his
third 50 in the tournament. He has made three half-centuries in this year’s DPL
while also scoring a century as well. He departed soon after reaching his
half-century as he perished for 59 runs from 75 balls.
On the other side, Naeem Islam took over to score a half
century himself. He took his score to 78 before fading at the hands of Farhad
Reza. It must be said, however, that Naeem Islam played some beautiful shots to
get the runs that he did.
After his departure, the onus was on the former Bangladesh
Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim to do well. And so he did. He made 65 runs from 67
balls to take Rupganj’s score to 272 after the loss of 7 wickets. He was well
supported by Nazmul Hossain Milon’s 17-ball 21.
For the bowlers, Arafar Sunny took three wickets while
Farhad Reza picked a couple of scalps with Mohammad Arafat taking a wicket
himself.

In response, Doleshwar met with a hurdle when they lost
Liton Das for 2 runs. Imtiaz Hossain has held up well before getting out for
35. Fazle Mahmud also departed soon after making 20 runs. The rest of the
batsmen, in most cases, got starts but couldn’t capitalize on them.
Indeed, Farhad Reza scored 25, Sharifullah 41, Zohaib Khan
24 and Arafat Sunny got 28 runs, but they all stuttered and the team fell for
217.
Mosharraf Hossain took four wickets, Asif Hasan took three
wickets and Mohammad Sharif and Mohammad Shahid took a wicket each to help
their team win.
