‘4 people shortlisted for Bangladesh coach job’

The coach conundrum of the Bangladesh team went to another
level with their loss to Sri Lanka at home. Despite having a lot of
expectations on the team in the tri-nation, Test and T20I series, the Tigers
failed to overcome a Sri Lankan team that is perhaps the worst they have had in
their lifetime.
The Bangladesh cricket team was coached by team director
Khaled Mahmud Sujon for Sri Lanka’s visit. It has also been confirmed that he
will overlook the team for the tri-nation Nidahas series between Sri Lanka,
India and Bangladesh.
Member of BCB Board of Directors Mohammad Jalal Yunus
confirmed that the board are actively looking for a coach, with 4 candidates
from 3 countries being touted by him.

‘We are planning to bring a coach from Australia, England
and South Africa. We have four names so far and we are thinking about them.’
It seems as though the next coach of Bangladesh will be
someone from foreign soil and given how the team have played under the guidance
of home coaches, it is perhaps better off that way.
