Kapali's efforts go in vain

The fourth round of games in the Dhaka Premier League began
with six teams participating across three different games and one of the games
is taking place between Brothers Union and Prime Doleshwar. After winning the
toss, the latter decided to field first.
Being put to bat first on a moderately batting friendly
track, Mizanur Rahman and Junaid Siddique started well to put up a partnership
worth 54 runs, before Farhad Reza got the wicket of the latter. Siddique made
15 runs before departing to the pavilion.
Suhrawadi Shuvo came in at number 3, but could only make 10 runs
before being sent back to the dugout. After that, Myshukur Rahman and Mizanur
Rahman put up a good partnership before the former got out for 28 from 48
balls.
Mizanur Rahman got out just two balls later as Fazle Mahmud
got both the wickets. The in-form Alok Kapali was the next to go as Ryan
TenDoeschate picked his wicket. Yasir Ali and Ifthekar Sajjd put up a good
fight after that, making 44 and 23 respectively, but couldn’t take the team
over 250.

Brothers were bundled up for 214 with TenDoeschate and Fazle
Mahmud getting 3 wickets each while Farhad Reza picked 2 wickets and Arafat
Sunny and Sharifullah finished with a wicket each.
In response, openers Liton Das and Imtiaz Hossain gave the
team a great start with an 82 run partnership, after which Liton Das was
scalped by Alok Kapali for 43 from 60 balls.
Imtiaz Morshed was the next to go after he made 39 from 70
balls. The thing with Doleshwar, however, was that they continued getting the
runs on board. Fazle Mahmud’s 73 from 80 balls and Marshall Ayub’s 44 from 63
balls virtually won them the game with Ryan TenDoeschate and Farhad Hossain
getting the honour of going to the dressing room with a win for their team.
For the Brothers’ bowlers, Kapali took three wickets while
Nihaduzzaman took the other scalp.
