Anamul Haque could feature against West Indies in ODIs – Minhajul Abedin

Bangladesh selector Minhajul Abedin has revealed that Anamul Haque could find a place in the ODI squad of Bangladesh to face West Indies. As a means to evaluate his form, selector Minhajul Abedin also added that he will be in Bangladesh A team to face Sri Lanka A in place of Mizanur Rahman.
“Anamul Haque is being considered for the ODI team [of Bangladesh] to face West Indies. We want to watch him [before making a decision]. [As a result] Mizanur Rahman will have to sit out [from Bangladesh A’s next match against Sri Lanka A].”

Minhajul Abedin also claimed that since some of the players from the Bangladesh A will depart for the Caribbean for the ODI series, there will be some opening in the Bangladesh A side before the final first-class game against Sri Lanka A in Sylhet.
“There will be a lot of places available before the [Bangladesh A] matches in Sylhet because the players that will find a place in the [Bangladesh] ODI squad [to face West Indies] will leave. [Hence] Mizanur and some more players can play in the last match [of Bangladesh A] in Sylhet.”
Anamul Haque made his ODI debut in 2012 and has a decent record in the format. He has scored 1005 runs from 31 innings with an average of 32.41 and a strike-rate of 70.72.
