Sixers undergo their sixth defeat

The Hobart Hurricanes dominated the Sydney Sixers in today's match in the Big Bash League. The Sydney Sixers showed no sign of revival and faced their sixth defeat in the six matches they have played so far in this season.
Winning the toss today, Hurricanes decided to bat first and registered a total of 170 runs losing 6 wickets in the process. Their batting line-up did well and kept ticking the score.
Hurricanes' opener Alex Doolan returned to the pavilion early scoring 3 runs. Dwarshuis got his wicket with a clever bouncer. Another opener, DArcy Short made 42 runs before leaving the pitch as his wicket was picked up by Sean Abbott.
Abbott bagged the wicket Ben McDermott and George Bailey as well before they could reach 20 runs. Jackson Bird scalped the important wicket of Matthew Wade after he had played an innings of 41 runs.

Daniel Sams got Simon Milenko's wicket with a slower delivery to end his fine cameo of 22 runs. Daniel Christian remained not out on 28 runs to conclude the innings.
Sydney Sixers were batting sensibly despite losing two of the top-order batsmen early. Jason Roy and Nic Maddinson made 9 runs and 7 runs, respectively before getting out.
Daniel Hughes scored 33 runs and Jordan Silk played an innings of 45 runs before their departure. Sam Billings was phenomenal today. He scored 61 runs off 30 and tried his best to grab those two magical points for his team, but failed in the long run.
Among the bowlers of Hurricanes, Tymal Mills took 2 wickets while Clive Rose and Cameron Boyce got a wicket each.
Hobart Hurricanes will face Brisbane Heat in Brisbane on 10th January. Sydney Sixers will face their crosstown rival Sydney Thunder on 13th January.
