Ashish Nehra joins RCB


Former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket last year. He will be coaching Virat Kohli and his team in IPL in 2018.
In his IPL career, 'NehraJi' took 105 wickets in 88 matches in 9 years. He had won the title in 2016, while playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The pacer had scalped a total of 162 wickets in 132 official T20s. He is the second oldest player to represent India in T20Is at the age of 38 years 186 days which is only exceeded by Rahul Dravid who played at the age of 38 years 232 days.

Delhi & District Cricket Association had renamed both the ends of the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground as "Ashish Nehra End" on the eve of his farewell game and thus Nehra became the second bowler in the cricket history after James Anderson to have bowled from the end named after him.
Ashish Nehra will be joining the coaching staff of any team for the first time in the next season of the Indian Premier League. Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) have hired him as their bowling coach and he will be working alongside Gary Kirsten and Daniel Vettori.
The star-studded RCB side have reached the finals of the IPL on three occasions and failed to clinch the title each time. This time, the team led by Virat Kohli will surely eye to win the IPL.
The auction for this season will take place on 27th & 28th January in Bangalore. The 11th edition of the league will start from 4th April.
The Mumbai Indians had defeated the Rising Pune Supergiant by 1 run to secure the title in 2017. This year, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will be playing in the league after serving a 2-year exile.
