Ross bosses at Gabba


Today, in the 8th match of the league, Brisbane Heat defeated Sydney Thunder by 6 wickets at Gabba. An astounding innings from Alex Ross decided the fate of the clash in the end. Ross scored 25 runs facing 9 balls and was awarded with the Man of the Match award.
The rain-marred match was reduced to 17 overs. Winning the toss, Sydney decided to bat first and made 149 runs losing 4 wickets in the 17-over game.
Shadab Khan and Lalor took two wickets each. Jos Buttler and Shane Watson were dismissed by Shadab at 23 and 56 runs respectively.

Kurtis Patterson made 11 runs before leaving the pitch and Callum Ferguson scored 37. Ben Rohrer was unbeaten at 16 runs.
During Brisbane's batting, Jimmy Pairson made 4 runs before getting out by Arjun Nair.Brandon McCullum scored 5 runs before giving his wicket to McClenghan. The same bowler also took the wicket of Ben Cutting at 3 runs.
Chris Lynn posted 25 runs from 9 balls, just like Ross, but Ross remained unbeaten while Shane Watson got Lynn's wicket. Joe Burns played a composed innings of 45 runs from 35 deliveries and remaind unbeaten as well.
Brisbane reached the target and made a total of 153 runs for 4 wickets, with a ball remaining. Brisbane will face Adelaide in an away match on 31st December and Thunder will play Hobart in Launceston on 30th December.
